Bangalore - Mysore - Chennai - Tanjore - Madurai - Thekkady - Kumarakom - Kochi - Thiruvananthapuram

Day 1   Arrive at Bangalore where you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day exploring this colourful garden city at your wn peace. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Board your transport for the drive to Mysore. Check in to your hotel. After lunch join an afternoon sightseeing tour of key city attractions inluding the majestic Mysore Palace and TipuÕs Summer Palace. overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Today you will be taken on a day excursion to Sravanbelagolaa, Belur and  Halebidu, returning to Mysore in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Board in an express train for the scenic journey to Chennai. (A daily train service to Chennai operates every day except Tuesday). Check in to the hotel where you will stay overnight.

Day 5 In the morning enjoy a guided tour of Chennai. After lunch board your transport for the drive to Mahabalipuram. On arrival take a whirlwind tournround MahabalipuramÕs most popular cultural and historical landmarks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Drive to Tanjore, the erstwhile capital of the Chola Kings. On the way you will stop briefly at Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram. Check in to your hotel. In the evening visit the Brihadeeshwara Temple, an ancient landmark dating back to the 11th century. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Drive to Madurai. After cheking in to your hotel visit the Meenakshi Temple and Thirumala Nayakar Palace. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Enjoy a morning drive to Thekkady. After lunch set off on a fascinating guided tour of a local spice plantation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Enjoy excellent views of the animals that roam freely around the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on an early morning boat trip around the local lake. After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. After checking in to your hotel spend the rest of the day exploring this tranquil village at your own leisurely place. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 After lunch board your transport for the drive to Kochi. Check in to your hotel. In the evening attend a traditional Kathakali dance show at the nearby Devans Kathakali Centre. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 After breakfast set out on a morning sightseeing tour of Kochi, visiting St. Francis Church (open every day except Sunday), Chinese Fishing Nets, the Dutch Palace (open every day except Friday). In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise (optional). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Drive to Thiruvananthapuram. Check in to your hotel. An optional tour of the city's key attractions - Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Horse Palace, Napier Museum and the Sri Chitra Art Gallery - is  available on request. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 Day excursion to Kanyakumari stopping en route to visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and Suchindram Temple. Overnight at your hotel in Thiruvananthapuram.

Day 14 If you are scheduled for an evening departure you can visit CVN Kalari to watch a thrilling demonstration of Kalaripayattu (an ancient martial art). Later you will be transferred to the airport to catch your onward flight
